ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: | ||||||
Students between 12 and 17 years enrolled for the 2007/07 academic year in a recognized high school in the City of Vancouver are eligible to apply. | ||||||
Applicants have to be referred by their drama teacher. A letter of referral must be provided. | ||||||
Applicants cannot have any talent agency representation. | ||||||
Please note that
students currently enrolled in Crichlow
Actors' Studio (CASt) are not eligible to apply. |

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: | ||||||
All submission requirements must be strictly observed. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the disqualification of your submission. | ||||||
Interested applicants must submit a one-page biographical sketch providing name, contact information, interests, hobbies, achievements, and any other useful information. | ||||||
Applicants must submit a letter of referral from their drama teachers. The letter should include the teacher's mailing address, daytime contact telephone number and, if possible, an email address. CASt will confirm all references and notify the teacher of audition times. | ||||||
Deadline for submissions is 5:00 pm PST on Monday, January 22, 2007

AUDITION INFORMATION: | ||||||
All auditions will be held at the CASt studios at 24-2414 Main Street (near Broadway). ROUND 1: GENERAL INTERVIEWS: Date: Sunday, January 28, 2007 This round will consist of a very brief "meet and greet" between CASt personnel and the applicant, followed by an on-camera interview. Applicants must bring a current ID, photo, and resume. Please be on time. Dress cleanly and professionally. There will be 25 participants called back for the semi-final round. ROUND 2: SEMI-FINALS: Date: February 04, 2007 Semi-finalists must prepare a contemporary monologue that best spotlights their talents, character, and abilities. Semi-finalists must bring an extra copy of their piece to the audition, along with a brief character/plot description. Please note: the monologue should be no longer than 3 minutes and should be age and character appropriate. Semi-finalists may be asked to discuss their character and choices. Semi-finalists will also be required to submit an essay about their goals and aspirations. The essay must be no less than 500 words and no more than 1000 words. Essays must be typed and double-spaced. Tell us about yourself! Be creative and have fun. We want to know why you want to be an actor and why you feel you would benefit from the program. There will be 8 finalists selected to participate in the CASt Mentorship Program
